Elmer Keith (1899–1984)

Elmer Merrifield Keith was born 8 March 1899 in Hardin, Missouri. His family moved to Montana while he was still very young. He was a rugged frontiersman who grew up in the West during the last of its "wild and woolly days." At an early age he became an expert with firearms.
