As with any book, it is better to read the book in as short a time as possible (while still savoring the story!) so that you retain information as you go along. I know when I set aside any book for too long I need to re-read or at least skim a portion of it before picking back up where I left off. 12 pages a day is a great way to get through the Bible in short order, allowing the reader to remember and connect people, stories and information that are interwoven throughout. The Bible itself is a spiritual treasure filled with wisdom, poetry, and guidance for our lives.
