This One's For You is a poignant new adult romance that follows Brennan Daniels' journey of coming to terms with the death of her best friend, learning to open her heart, and the acceptance to move forward with her life.

Author Brandy Jellum weaves a beautifully written tale that will tug at the heartstrings and stir the soul. After losing her best friend Reagan in a tragic accident during senior year in high school and needing a fresh start, Brennan leaves her hometown for an out-of-state college. She is keeping the promise that she made to Reagan: no boys, no dating, no falling in love while in college ... that is until she meets Owen Scott, who lives across the hall. There is definite chemistry and sparks fly between Brennan and Owen, but both have personal issues that keep getting in the way. Can Reagan let down the wall around her heart, can Owen let go of his playboy ways, can they both let go of their painful pasts and secrets, open up their hearts, and let love in the door?

This One's For You has a wonderful mixture of emotions and romance that easily draws the reader into Brennan and Owen's story. You can't help but follow their emotional journey as college life and the promise of a budding romance offers a new start for them if they allow it. There is enough angst, drama, tension, and sweet romance that will keep the reader engaged and turning the pages.

This One's For You is a touching story about learning to cope with loss and painful pasts, letting go, opening oneself to new found love, and moving forward in life.

Just finished reading this story and enjoyed it a lot. For a debut novel it was very good and kept my interest and the ending left me wanting more. Brandy Jellum has great potential and I can't wait to read the next part of this series!

Are you looking for a thrilling romantic suspense series that will take you on an exhilarating roller coaster ride? Well then sit down, buckle up, and get ready to be captivated by the riveting Say Something Series by author Brandy Jellum.

In If I Say Yes, the first book in the Say Something Series, author Brandy Jellum wove an intriguing romantic suspense tale that introduced the reader to literary agent Liza Winter and her boss / unexpected love interest, Reid Harder. In this riveting story, the reader followed the complicated development of Liza and Reid's romantic relationship when Liza's traumatic past resurfaced with a tangled web of haunting and painful memories, hidden secrets, chilling threats, and danger lurking around every corner.

Now in If I Say No, the second book in the series, the reader catches up with Liza and Reid as their relationship continues to grows, but this time it is Reid's troubled past and his revengeful brother Rhett, who complicates their relationship with a new round of trouble and danger that they need to overcome.

This is a fast-paced, multi-layered, and complex story that easily captivates the reader's attention. It has enough intriguing clues, suspense, and thrilling twists and turns that will keep the reader sitting on the edge of their seat, holding their breath, and guessing what will happen next. You can't help but want to keep turning the pages to see what will happen to Liza and Reid's developing romantic relationship when Reid's past resurfaces and sends their relationship into a troubled tailspin.

I think the author did a great job of interweaving a nice balance of romance and suspense throughout the story, it kept my interest and made me want to figure out how the story would end ... but alas ... the author teases the reader with a breath-holding cliff-hanger of an ending that leaves the reader wanting more, only to have to wait for the release of the next book in the series.

If I Say No has everything that a true romantic suspense fan could ever want in a book, but take my advice and read the series in sequential order.

When starting the first chapter readers are greeted with DULL. BORING. PATHETIC. Really made me question if the book would be those three words.

The book was not those three words. It has some nice suspense but felt there was not enough build up. I would have preferred more or a longer story to carry the suspense out more.

I am still trying to understand why Liza AKA Elizabeth hid her identity. Why hid who you are? Just because something horrible happened does not change anything. If she did not want to associate with the people she once knew why not just move to a different state, why stay in the same area.

Reid is said to be a playboy and in all the tabloids, I really did not see him as being a playboy.

This was a good fast read I just wanted more meat to the story, more build up, and more suspense.

The bunnies and I give this book carrots.
