This is a very thorough book on how to declutter your house and life step by step. It gives you the mental comfort of weeding out sentimental items that are just collecting dust and taking up space. This book is best read slowly to take notes and/or stop from time to time to do the suggestions.

What perfect timing as I've just finished painting all our outbuildings and now inspired to purge and organize the inside of my house. I also just gave my hobby room a new paint job and carpet ... since the hot water heater dumped 30 gallons of hot water all over. Now, I will be giving the living room, kitchen and hallway a fresh and updated paint color as well.

Some words of wisdom in the first section, but the author then repeats the framework ad nauseum for every room in the house... I ended up skimming through large sections of the later part of the book just to get to some new information. An ironically unminimal book.
