Courte biographie: Janelle Jalbert is the award-winning author of WINGDOG: Soul Pup, A Magical Mutt Memoir as well as Triangulating Bliss, Book 1 in The Mystique of Living Series, medalist for cross-genre fiction in the 2015 New Apple Book Awards, and Flash 40: Life’s Moments, winner of the 2015 Readers’ Favorite International Book Awards Silver Medal for Anthologies. She worked as a ghostwriter, a copywriter, and a motorsports reporter. Jalbert enjoys bringing stories to life that celebrate the magic in everyday living. I love reading dog books. I am such a dog lover. While the last couple of dog books that I have read were good they were not "great". This book is great. Both the author, Janelle and Goose were so relatable. This helped make the book so much more enjoyable. Goose is the perfect name for the dog. All of the adventures that Janelle and Goose had were entertaining. Also, loved the thoughts of Goose as if he were really talking. I do believe that dogs can communicate with their owners. Only the ones that share a very special bond can listen and would agree. I have been communicating with all of the dogs that I have owned or came into my life since I was a little girl. I loved every moment of this book. For anyone who is a dog lover you need to pick up a copy of this book. You won't regret it.… (plus d'informations)

Reading this memoir was absolutely a joy. A true pet lover, the author lovingly describes her relationship with her dog, Goose. Her ability to attribute so much to her pet is heartwarming. As the couple get to know one another, they end up criss-crossing the nation from Carolina to California. Their journey is full of ups and downs and snags along the way, but the one constant is their love for one another. This memoir is perfect for animal lovers. It will be relatable for anyone who has helped or been helped by a furry friend. I highly recommend it!… (plus d'informations)

Flash 40: Life's Moments par Janelle Jalbert

There’s an old saying, proverb if you will which talks about walking in someone else’s shoes. Which in reality means you can't really understand someone else unless you live their life, walk in their shoes so to speak.

The reason I’m mentioning this is that I’ve written and self-publish a Flash Fiction book myself; in fact the one’s I’ve written are for the most part are only FIVE SENTENCES long. So I understand the skill and complexity it takes to write a story which can be considered to be Flash Fiction.

In her book, Janelle Jalbert has written 40 Flash Fictions each complete with a beginning, a middle, and an ending with a surprise at the end; reminiscent to the short stories by O’Henry. Each of her stories is full of emotions; making for an enjoyable quick read. The best thing about these stories is that each can be read completely while having a single cup of your favorite coffee; and they can be read in any order you desire.

While all this might be the case, the book could use a little editing to tighten everything up, which is why I’m giving this book 4 STARS.… (plus d'informations)
