The beginning of this novel was absolutely engaging. It pulls you in right away. After that, it gets confusing and seems to jump around and into things that have no lead in or set up. The writing is technically sound, but the storytelling is more young adult than new adult. If this were a young adult series (it's listed as new adult on Amazon) I would give it 4 stars.

Received for a fair and honest review

This book was really deep. I found myself torn between fiction and knowing that this could really happen, and was so emotional. Parts disgusted me, and parts gave me hope. I'm always rooting for the HEA, but for some reason, I think it is going to be a LONG bumpy road for Tori.

This book was way beyond anything that I have ever read from Sam.... I really enjoyed it a LOT. I love the way Sam writes... she is so into creating her characters and details, makes you feel like you are sitting on that beach with Charlie and Clarisse.

I am excited to see where this story goes.. the ending was absolutely perfect!!!

I really love this series. The first book was hard to deal with in the means of the subject matter. However, the writing is a amazing and each book opens up more information to how Tori's became who she is. Her life with the Dragons was far worse than that with the Scorpions. Brett and Enrique really care for her and take care of her. Buck doesn't trust her and she has to prove herself to the club. This book is full of twists and turns and leaves you wanting more.
