What a beautiful story of two men's walk down a very rugged road toward healing themselves. The story was well written with a nice pace. I don't know if it was me or if other readers experienced it but the story's perspective changed as David healed. I cannot even begin to understand what David went through during his time down the rabbit's hole but his journey back was awe inspiring. John's own journey was equally as long and important bring both men together to the same place. It was not an easy book to get through but it was well worth the effort.… (plus d'informations)

The beautiful cover and blurb was got me to buy this book. I can't say I absolutely loved it but I don't think I wasted my money either. I enjoyed the characters and their development. Not much world building but I didn't feel as though the book lacked because of it. It left me wanting to know more but at the same time satisfied with how it ended. Not sure how that happened but there it is.

Dominic has roamed the world as a vampire since the height of the Roman empire. But in all his years, he's never been as fascinated by a mortal as he is by Michael, a young tattoo artist. In fact, Dominic is so fascinated, he wanders into Michael's world to get a tattoo (knowing it won't keep) and finds himself in a world he doesn't want to leave. And as the two fall for each other, they find that there are forces that are conspiring to keep them apart.

This one just wasn't my cup of tea. There's nothing specific that I would say the author did wrong. It just didn't grab me as a reader, though that's likely due more to my own interests than any fault on the part of the writing or the characters.… (plus d'informations)

I have a complaint: this is way too short!

Once again Isabelle Rowan has given us a story that you can simply lose yourself in. One where all the characters come to life, jump off the page and lodge themselves firmly into your minds and hearts. At least that's the way it is with me. That's why this is too short for me. I need to know more!

I want to know how Matthew and Damien build their relationship, what they will do with the rest of their lives... I also need to know that all the secondary characters are all growing and thriving!

But once again Isabelle Rowan has given us a book filled with beautiful, flawed characters who have taken up space in my life. This truly is a lovely, sweet (but not fluffy) read that I will definitely revisit.
