3.5 I just wish there was a bit more in here. A lot of it I knew from just reading some of the plaques at the Tower. Still a good souvenir purchase though.

Having visited Kensington Palace in person on a recent trip to London you can find these books at any major historical or tourist site. The books make a great souvenir as they give a ton of historical information and in addition they are beautifully illustrated. You would reference this book many times as reminder of a great trip or great info for someone planning a trip to London.

An interesting if somewhat exhausting look at the history of Kensington Palace, from its use by William III and Mary II to its spring 2012 renovation and refurbishment. We visited shortly after the reopening and can attest to how nicely it is laid out. I also enjoyed reading about the Georges. The photos are lovely and less repetitive than the ones in The Story of Hampton Court Palace, but I found the various floor and garden plans confusing. However, that could just be because I am not the greatest with maps. Other, more spatially aware readers might get more out of them. Overall, a good book if you're into stately homes.
