The ancient truth that too many cooks spoil the broth does not apply to pies. Some score of cooks have had their fingers in "Fisherman's Pie" (edited by W. A. Hunter. London: Black. 7s. 6d. net), and the result of their labours is by far the most useful fishing-book that has been published this year. Much of the credit for this must be given to the editor ... There are no general articles in this book. There is not one that covers more than the particular kind of fishing or the particular subject which its author has made his own. Men with their own methods of fishing write on just those methods, which they are prepared to defend against all comers - that is to say, on the one subject about which they can be counted upon to write with zest and precision. ...
