Another of Argyle books' gay male pulp fiction releases which conform to the code of an unhappy ending for the gay character. Written in the first person the book's narrator, Carl Wolfe, brings us along in his journey with a twist - of course. Wolfe lives in Oakville, Texas and goes to Mabel's bar located in the "slums" of the big city to find love and companionship. Overall a quick read including all the stereotypes of gay males with sex addressed in vague PG-rated manner of the time. The narrator's description of how he was raped was disturbing especially his take away from the event.½
