Interesting story about a stolen treasure during WWII. William Honan searched for these treasures which were stolen from Quedlinburg, Germany, a place well known to Himmler. The subtitle pretty much says it all, except that I'd have said "anticipated" rather than "led to." Honan tells the story well, and it's fascinating for anyone interested in naval strategy and policy from the 1919-1939 era.
