This zine collection a broad variety of perspectives on chronic and long-term illness and physical disability, particularly through the lens of counter-cultre, punk, and DIY subcultures. The essays are written mostly by actual 'sick' people who are part of those cultures, and focus heavily on coping, accomodation, and management strategies, along with the frequent clashes between counterculture ethics, the needs of people who don't have standard healthy bodies, and the way people in subcultures reconcile (or, more often, fail to reconcile) the contradictions and meet the needs of disabled people in their communities.
