There was a lot going on in this story. Is it about creating a family on your own terms? Manipulation of love and connection by corporations? Gun violence? Peer pressure? Gender-affirming care? The art was lovely, but I do not see myself suggesting this book to others without a thorough readers advisory conversation.

I can't wait to see where this series goes! The 1st issue had me hooked.

I do not like these two dudes. They better not hurt Jessie.

I was not expecting that. Waiting patiently (just kidding I need it now) for issue #4.

That was an ending I wasn't expecting. I can't wait for issue #5.

A pretty good story about artificial intelligence, adoption, and gender identity goes terribly awry when it shoehorns in a recreation of the Columbine school shooting complete with shooters named Eric Harris and Dylan and a girl under a table confronted with the question, "Do you believe in God?" Why go there? And once you have pulled such a cheap and insensitive stunt, why think readers will be able to focus on anything except that?
