This is not a review, per se. Abe Hollandersky was no writer, his ideas were the simple ones pulled from the fog of the 20th century American myth, and there's plenty of breadth but no depth in his story. I purchased the book to replace the copy my father gave me years ago, which was autographed by Mr. Hollandersky and which somehow disappeared. My father met Abe during his days at sea, and he was briefly aboard my dad's ship, telling stories, hawking newspapers and his book.
