(8.5) My daughter purchased this for me after I shared a review I had read. This is New Zealand in the raw. the writer said in the review that we wished to read stories about people who often didn't have a voice.
This book 's voice is very authentic. It does depict a way of life many of us have no experience of, but nonetheless, despite Monday's bad choices, we can't help feeling empathy and hoping that somehow she manages to fulfill her dreams and avoid further chaos.
