The main fault I found with this book was that the ext and pictures often didn't match up making it very difficult to follow.

Being a choice of the paintings of Mr. Waterhouse, who at the time this came out was not represented in publication in proportion to his technical ability or his grand emotional and artistic Weltanschauung. As such this book was and is most welcome; were it to be done today I would hope that the quality and quantity of the reproductions would improve, and indeed, as his popularity has recovered through the last generation, there are other books available of at least equal quality.
