Still, it lacks that 'something' which could have made it from being ordinary to being extraordinary. It is a quick read which doesn't tax the reader much.

A pleasant read & about the right length. Honestly, I would buy more of the series at a bargain price, but probably not too much because it didn't take me that long to read.

I was not convinced by the characters and I found them shallow. The plot meandered, as an investigation might indeed. The meander decreased the book's credibility. I'm amazed at the lapses e.g. a supposed child's footprints packing down the grave but nobody follows up on a child as a line of enquiry.½

The main characters were two Private investigators who had been engaged to help the police find the murderer who was also holding the young girl. Not a huge page turner and it didn't keep me on the edge of my seat but the story was good and had a reasonable ending. Quite a passable holiday read and no doubt I shall read further books in this series.½

They are very realistic as far as characters go. I thought this book was great, just wish that I would have read it sooner! Thanks Rayven Hill for writing such a great book!!

It's a matter of following Jake and Annie in their race to stop the killer from killing again. The book was fast-paced and fun. My only complaint was the names of the characters. With names like Annie and Amelia, and Jake, Jenny, Jeremy, and Jeremiah, I beg the author to choose a new letter from the alphabet. Trying to distinguish who a person was became pretty confusing at times.
