All the exercises have a war slant ("Neither the captain or his noncoms (were, are) here."). All the photos are war-related. There is also information about sending V-Mail, vocabulary of the day, correlation of English and American history, and extra emphasis on patriotism, democracy, etc. A true gem - and a snapshot of life on the homefront.
