Really fantastic exploration of, well, human impacts on the environment; a great example of how a clear and levelheaded—as opposed to alarmist or not-alarmist-enough—presentation of facts and situations helps to lessen at least this reader's anxiety (which is not at all easy to do).

My only beef is that Wiley failed to honor its author or his work, thanks to its apparent lack of investment in a proofreader. When the next edition is slated to come out, I hereby volunteer my services.
