Summary: This Japanese fairy tale tells the story of eighty-one brothers and their encounters with a hare.
Personal Reflection: This is my first time using http://en.childrenslibrary.org/ and reading a digitized book. It was a fun experience and It was fun to see the same book in several languages. I also enjoyed reading this Japanese fairy tale and being exposed to a different culture.
Classroom Extension: I would introduce this website to my students and maybe let them chose a digitized book to explore. Again, it was amazing to be able to read the same book in several languages with a click of the moose. You can zoom in and out of the illustrations and have the book read to you. A fun experience.… (plus d'informations)

A woman's dumpling rolls down a great hill. She chases it and has quite an adventure with the oni (demons). Adapted from a Japanese folktale by Hearn.

1.Summery & Comment

2.Line or Phrase
Go and bathe in the sea water, and then lie down on the slope of the high mountain, and let the wind blow upon you.

3.Number of Words
approximately 840 words

4. Rading time
10min.
