This perky concept book explores map skills as it follows the paths of several animals through a variety of locales.

I would use this book in a Kindergarten class for a lesson about maps. The book uses directional language and introduces maps in a way that young children can grasp. It also pictures different kinds of areas such as cities, meadow, mountains, and ocean.

Through following the animals paths, you are able to see their “ map”. By looking at the illustrations that follow, you can see the route they take and follow along with your finger!
