An enjoyable and well-written mystery

Clare Henderson approaches Evan Buckley to investigate the death of her sister Jessica. The police are convinced it was suicide, that she fell out of the window of her 15th floor apartment. She doesn't believe that her sister would commit suicide.
An enjoyable well-written short story

Buckley has a new case when old college friend, Jesse Springer, needs his help. He is being blackmailed over revealing photographs that he doesn't remember being taken. Unfortunately I had no sympathy for his predicament and for me there were too many unlikable people, added to the various threats of violence the story wasn't really for me.

With a great storyline and characters that will call at you, this is the kind of book you want to grab when you are in sheer need of a heart-stopping thriller.

Mr Harper has the very scarce ability to create characters with depth and all the greys of real people, and his plot is perfectly done. This is my first book by the author, and let me tell you this. I WILL check the previous ones in this series.
