Ole Hallesby (1879–1961)

One of the best books on prayer I've read. Remember it was the one to read on prayer when I was a student many years ago! Still really good...

This book itself breathes the spirit of prayer....It is a book full of grace and mercy, jubilee and challenge. In it I sense Jesus inviting us to the adventure.

says some good and interesting things about the conscience - good analysis and helpful dealing of the subject. A couple of points of theology a bit stretched and not altogether proved from Scripture. For example, his view of the unforgiveable sin may not really hold theologically. However, a lot of valuable things said here.
