Vona Groarke is an Irish poet who will appear at the Auckland Writers Festival and the Dunedin Writers and Readers Festival in 2015. She is the author of six collections of poems. Her work has been noted for its powerful music and formal accomplishment, 'energised by uncertainties' and recognized afficher plus with many prizes. She teaches poetry in the Centre for New Writing at the University of Manchester in the UK and is the editor of Poetry Ireland Review.
