An amazing book, if a little suspiciously implausible in one respect. In 1964, Bob Greene kept a daily journal of his junior and senior years in high school, and now it has become this book. Even then, the writing mirrored the style he would later use for his columns, perhaps more naive but just as honest. The one jarring episode was the affair with the beautiful 27-year old. I have a hard time believing that, but he did write a later column about meeting up with her once after this book was published. Outside of that, the book has the uncanny knack of bringing back the reader's (mine, anyway) own high school experiences, no matter what they were like.… (plus d'informations)
