Wilfred Greatorex (1922–2002)

An espionage thriller set in Russia, England and Washinton(U S A). A good storyline with plenty of background to set against the action. The scene setting in Russia on the Black sea coast is particularly good.and the story moves smoothly from location to location. The action sequences are well thought out and genuinely exciting. Like many novels of this genre the reader must suspend beleif at times, however not so much with this book. The novel was published in 1984 and so for books of this genre it struck me as slightly old fashioned, especially with the depiction of the British secret service. Character developement is handled efficiiently and the plot had enougfh momentum and mystery to keep me reading till the end. An enjoyable read… (plus d'informations)
