The book reinforces and elaborates common areas of CSS, so you don't have to blindly copy from Stackoverflow. The book claims to cover the newest additions to CSS, but since the book was published in 2018 (and CSS is such a fast-evolving language), it already doesn't cover a lot of existing technologies (like container queries or the property at-rule).
I did not know much about grids or Flexboxes before reading this book, so chapter 5 and 6 were particularly useful. The appendix on preprocessor (like SASS) was useful as well.… (plus d'informations)
