I really loved this trilogy the second time around. Ilona Andrews is definitely one of my favorite authors.

Something about Ilona Andrews' books just doesn't work for me, but I do like the setting, the plot, and the characters.

A slow buildup, with an amazing second half that had me yelling at the book (in good and bad ways).

I didn't love this as much as the previous book (Magic Breaks), but this was still really, really good.

The Kate Daniel series is definitely a favorite of mine. I'm excited to read the last few books, but I'm also kind of sad about the idea of finishing the series. :/

I'm terrible at reviewing later books in a series because I don't want to have spoilers. So I'll just say that this book is a good addition to the series and I liked reading it. Also, I'm liking the slow, but steady romantic build up between Kate and Curran. And I love the world-building and the backstory of the characters.

I wasn't a big fan of Dali's character. She seems really immature. I hope that I learn to like her though, because there are a few spin-off novellas from her POV.
