Count along with Alaskan animals in this sing-song rhyming book while you practice your addition and color recognition skills. Vibrant illustrations true to Cartwright’s signature style add to the whimsy of this sweet read-aloud.

This book is an excellent and exciting way for children to practice their math skills in a real life application by thinking about what you can buy for $1. Being told as a rhyming story takes the pressures of solving math away as you are enchanted with the rhymes. The little girl is exited to spend her allowance at the store but when given too many choices and ways she can split her dollar to buy more or less items, she gets overwhelmed and decides it is best to keep her dollar. One critique I have is that the prices in the story aren't as realistic anymore, which may make it harder for students to connect with the book.… (plus d'informations)

Join the polar, grizzly, and black bears as they travel across Alaska's vast wilderness. This is the real story of the three bears, filled with facts on America's best-loved bruins.
