The author takes many pages to describe the process of making your own stencils, including the choice of materials for doing so. The book has some pre-printed designs on acetate that can be cut out, but I would not suggest it as it has to be used for two different colors. Other designs are simply printed on regular paper to be copied over onto the stencil material. An excellent book that could be used by a beginner, but is aimed more at an experienced painter or crafter.
