I finished this in one sitting to say I was obsessed would be an understatement. This isn’t just a smutty book either granted the smut is good I really loved the story/plot of this book. If you enjoy stories of women getting true love and learning just how loved and valued they are to their person you’ll enjoy this. There is fighting, love, betrayal and ultimately happiness I was taken on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and loved every second of it

It is a shame this anthology was so poorly edited.

Rejected Wolf Queen by Eliza Gayle: This STEAMY paranormal can be read in an afternoon but is spoiled by the author's inability to retain POV. 3*

Cloaked Ties by Aliyah Burke: Another STEAMY paranormal that can be read in an afternoon, this one addresses the abduction and abuse of children. 4*

Devils Point Wolves #1. Paranormal wolf shifter romance novella.
Faith can’t reach her sister so travels to Devils Point where she is bitten by a wolf! Her sister is fine but Faith finds herself learning about werewolves and her new mate. Not what she expected for the weekend.

I love the fated mates troupe. They know it’s the perfect fit and now have to reconcile all of life’s little details. Like shifting and running on four legs instead of two. I found the differences in the two sisters wonderful and realistic. A steamy short story and a hea. A win.

Quicker and lighter than the original series. A nice quick read.

This was a nice quick 'before bed' read to wind down from the day.

Not enough background for a stand-alone; more of a PWP.

3.25 stars

I was just getting into the story and then bam, it ended on a cliffhanger, super frustrated. I was expecting there to be more. This series has potential and I'm not sure if I'm invested enough to continue.

The plot elements here had some promise. However the writing just didn't stand up. The characters were flat, formulaic and uninteresting.

~ 3 Lucas Stars ~

Lucas is book one in the Black Cougar series by Eliza Gayle. This is a short quick read with lots of sex.

Lucas is definitely an alpha male who makes assumptions, but we see he has a loving and forgiving nature. Kira is psychic and on her way to a mental meltdown due to her mating urges kicking in, but she is also lucid enough to be wary of a mating.

The story is enjoyable, with action, romance, and a nefarious plot. The couple’s chemistry is smoking, but they do very little communicating, except in the physical area with the sex being very steamy. We get an anal and a M/F/M scene too. Their is a little foreshadowing for the next book. I did have some issues with some things being left unresolved or unexplained and the end is abrupt, leaving you hanging a little, but also wanting more.

Lucas is an enjoyable enough read. Something that fills a void for when you need a nice steamy quick read.

This was a somewhat interesting read - but it felt like something was missing. There were these secondary stories that started, but ended without a whimper - just sort of stopped. The relationships seemed surface and on some level did not make sense.½

I don't find the BDSM elements to be compelling: frankly it just pissed me off. Not cool. The rest was ok, and the storyline was pretty good. I am unlikely to read the rest of the series, though.

Short read. Not sure what to make of this shifter world. But makes for nice shorter stories.

It's the very first book I've read by Eliza Gayle and I have this sudden urge to smack myself. I just finished this book and I have that moment (I'm sure many of you have had this moment too!) of complete confusion and I'm asking myself "Why didn't I try this author before??".

I think you all know by now that I love alpha heroes for my romances/erotic romances, heroes that though they are strong, dominant, sexy as hell, they don't need to be 100% perfect. To quote from my favorite TV drama, "Perfect is boring". So I have to say I fell in love with Daegan McKenna. He's not the perfect guy, but he's perfect for Jennifer. He's a patient, yet stubborn man, one that doesn't quit easily. He knows he wants Jennifer and he keeps trying to seduce her, make her his. He's also a scarred man, running from his past. He's trying to move on, but until he met Jennifer, he wasn't really trying that much. I think he needed Jennifer as much as she needed him.

Jennifer is a successful fetish model with a lot of secrets and fears. She doesn't trust much, she's afraid of what other people might do or think if she lets them get too close, so she keeps everyone at arm's length. She tried to do that with Daegan, but he won't have any of that. I loved how they interacted with each other, how they helped each other get over their pasts.

I also got curious about Murphy and Chase, so I had to find out more about them. I'm going to start reading their book, Midnight Playground, soon.

I definitely recommend this book, if you're a fan of erotic romance and BDSM. It was a very good book and I'm going to try more of Ms Gayle's books. In the meantime, I'm waiting for news on the next book of this series :D

I think I would have enjoyed this a whole lot better had I read the series around it. This is the only reason I gave it an extra star because I don't want to hold the author responsible because I did not read the rest.

OK I'm hooked - I felt like I got a love story, hot sex, conflict/resolution, some suspense, and an evil cliff hanger.

I'm dying to know about the secret Tucker, Levi & Mason have almost makes me wonder if they are related in any way - thanks to "dear old dad" or are they really just friends from growing up in the same town, does the fire have anything to do with it and why is Tucker's Mom catatonic? Why are Levi and Mason involved in keeping Tucker's family secret?

Tucker,Maggie and Nina were good characters, but I feel there is more to be learned and I'm not sure how much we will see of them in the next book - I would like to see a continued positive path as Tucker & Maggie work on their relationship

Wow - I can't believe I've finished it. Levi's Ultimatum was even better Tucker's Fall and that was a great read also.

Many of the character’s we've met in Tuckers Fall, the exceptions are our H/h, Levi & Tori. Behind the erotic, romantic theme of the book is a family secret, one that links many people together out of friendship and necessity. Some of our characters have learned to deal with the hidden secret better than others. Levi has never dealt with this issue well, he has been a vagabond for over a decade, having little contact with his family. This all changes one day, and Levi decides it’s time to head home. Shortly after arriving back in town, he meets a woman and her daughter Hannah(who is a most trusting, loving young girl who like to color) in the café and feelings he’s never had bubble to the surface.

The characters in the book were well written, realistic and likeable, that’s not to say you wouldn’t want to modify behavior now and again though. The symbiotic relationships between the main and supporting characters is strong, the tension evident, but above all they are there for each other.

We learned many of the secrets in this novel, but I suspect there are still many that have not been exposed yet – I think there’s more to Nina’s back story then we’ve been exposed to; and I also wonder why Tucker’s Mother made the decision she did to come forward. We also learn Tori’s secret, one she is embarrassed by and is sure will drive Levi away if he finds out – personally I didn’t find it too bad but I’m not going to share it, as I know you just clicked on the spoiler link to find out about it - just like I would have done I suspect that if you are young and in love, and shunned by your family for loving this person it would leave a mark on you emotionally. The good news is Levi takes it in stride.

The book has humor, conflict, angst, sexual tension, a bit of mystery, and hints of new relationships I think Gabe and Nina will hook up just as Mason and Robin will, probably in the next book . The writing flows well, and the sex scenes are HOT and supportive to the storyline. The presence of a child in the book was not distracting, and I was pleased that Tori kept sight of the fact she was a mother, and didn’t go off on her own agenda, leaving Hannah by the wayside.

I don’t think I have done the book justice; there’s lots going on, but it’s all tied together really well. There is no cliff hanger, but I wouldn’t read the books out of order due to the central theme tying the back story together. My biggest sadness is that now I have to wait for the next book.

My thanks to Ms Gayle for another great read.

Mason's Rule (Purgatory Masters #3) by Eliza Gayle, didn't quit deliver what I had expected for the third book in the series, and the ongoing family drama

• No resolution to the family drama (father's death); not much added to this portion of the plot in this book
• Didn’t feel a strong connection or chemistry between Mason & Rebecca
• Seemed like a big deal was made when the brother’s found out who Rebecca really was, and who her sister was – and then it disappeared with just a few sentences - actually had far less importance then I thought it had to the story line
• The story seemed to have more sex scenes then actual plot development or continuation of ongoing plot
• The Vegas wedding scene was short and non eventful
• Tough guy Mason gave into the “love” way to easily
• Got the feeling there was a quick wrap up of the story

For me a 2.75 star read which I’ll round up to 3 stars just because I liked the previous two books and I’m hoping the series will pick up in the next book with a better plot, and a convincing romance.

"4.5 out of 5 stars! This novel is about a "bad kitty" who is trying to learn to trust again, find patience, and turning her life around in more ways then one. Even though I haven't read any of the other novels in this series, I was instantly captivated by Kitty's feistiness and Rafe's erotic determination."

"4 out of 5 stars!! Finding your mate is like finding a needle in a haystack, so why is Niki trying to run away from hers? This intriguing fast-paced novel brings back all your favorite characters from "Bad Kitty," gets you involved with these hot new characters, while setting up the series for a bunch more twists and turns that will be interesting to see where it'll go!"

Wicked: Devil's Point Wolves #2 (The Mating Season, #12)
by Eliza Gayle

Rebel just found a few weeks ago that the man she is in love with is a werewolf. Shortly after she found out, her twin sister shows up and was bitten by a wolf on her way to the island. Her sister Faith and Dante's brother, Damien, form a bond as true mates. After finding out what true mates are Rebel finds the courage to ask Dante if she is his true mate....and of course, she isn't. She doesn't think she can stay and watch Dante either take her as a mate and not be completely happy, or find his true mate and have to watch them together. It is time to move on. First, she wants to help get the rogue wolf that bit her sister.

Dante knows that Rebel isn't his true mate, but he and his wolf really want to mate her. First things first though. Need to catch a rogue wolf and the Hunter that he keeps catching the scent of. Finally, Rebel shows intrest in taking things further, but then she announces she is planning to leave. He needs to talk her into staying, because she is the right one for him and doesn't want to live in a world without her by his side. Now to just convince her of that.
