Fascinating story of Lon Chaney's chauffeur, double, and assistant, John Jeske. Jeske was a poor immigrant who happened to get hooked up with Chaney and became a trusted servant and friend. Jeske was remembered in Chaney's will - to the ire of Lon Chaney Jr. - and then in Mrs. Chaney's will when she passed just 3 years after Lon. The story of Jeske's kidnapping and attempts to get the money out of him were incredible. I am not sure how the author was able to find out so much information about a generally unknown person who has been lost to history and buried in an unmarked grave but she deserves kudos for her research. A great story of a someone you never heard of but who was connected with the great Lon Chaney.… (plus d'informations)
