This book provides an informative and readable look at the creation of the musical My Fair Lady. From Rex Harrison's diva-like behavior (which concealed his very real fear of playing the lead in a musical) to Julie Andrews's initial problems with the character of Eliza (it was her first lead role), Garebian provides a gossipy and intriguing look at the behind-the-scenes drama that happens with any show. While more information on the making of the movie (starring Harrison and Audrey Hepburn) would have been welcome, the book is still a good read for any musical theatre lover.
