The book conveys the meaning of friendship in an amazing way. Children can read about different customs of the Navajo and Hispanics. How after many many years friendship can still be strong and passing that meaning on to everyone. The author made the book seem so real and can be relate-able to many children here in New Mexico since the setting is in New Mexico.
