This book disappointed me. I was hoping to find a pattern for diced tartan hose worn by highland dancers. Instead, the author starts out to tell us how to create them, but admits she has never completed a pair herself. Never. I was stunned. However, if the easier-to-knit, more readily available patterns for textured hose as worn by pipers are what you want, there are plenty of those here. Meh.
