Tough-ass warrior heroine. Dragon shifter. Funny dialog. Sex. Why did it take me so long to get to this series?

This was pretty good. I liked Fearghus as a dragon but he wasn't very well developed as a knight. It was a nice choice to make this a true fantasy not set on Earth at all. Annwyl was okay. I didn't really like the end where the story jumped ahead a year. It was really unnecessary. It didn't really serve any purpose to the romance to have a brief explanation of her securing the throne without him. This wasn't a political fantasy after all. A decent story and I might give the next 2 a look.
