The moral of this story was wonderful. It encouraged me to take my time on things and to genuinely live in the present. Harriet did not focus on how everyone else around her was going so fast. She embraced that she was a tortoise and planned ahead. I think this book will benefit young readers to be responsible and to enjoy the moment. Harriet planned ahead and enjoy every minute of her long journey. This can benefit the children to be self-motivated.

I don't think the illustrations do a very good job at creating a clear distinction in movement, which is really important to this story. The pictures look gorgeous, and I love the use of watercolors. I just wish I could say more that it adds to the story.… (plus d'informations)
