A quiet reflection on being willing to reevaluate things you participate in throughout your life. I like the way the author encourages you to reflect on the good that came from each role, even after you leave it. She provides some tools, but as she explains, it's much more about feeling than action steps, which is probably why I liked, but didn't love it. It will make me think critically about my job/church/boards I serve on, etc. as I move forward.

I read this book because Kendra Adachi told me to. But seriously.

I feel that this book would be better for readers who are facing major life change in their immediate futures. I’m not really at that point, so I guess it’s partly on me for reading this at a time when it’s not as relevant to me. However, in my defense, the title and subtitle give an unclear picture of what this book deals with. In my mind, I expected to learn how to let go of people, or how to literally and physically enter or leave a room with confidence in regard to any given situation. I never fully bought into the “rooms” analogy EPF creates here.

All that said, I can see this being helpful for other people at other times.

Some good nuggets here, but I’m realizing EPF is not really my jam.
