Reading children's books or books written by children (sometimes, ) wakes the dead or forgotten humans in us. This is a strong statement, but sometimes it is to be accepted. In this world full of adultery in the food we eat, the air we breathe, the water we drink and the places we live, we as humans existed long ago. The feelings and emotions have been reduced to microseconds of reaction time. Deep down in our conscious, the divine, good and honest soul is trapped and wants to come out. In my view, reading simple, small and sweet books helps the soul to break the shackles of the artificial life and feelings we developed.

Katya's Sunflowers illustrated book made me realize the worth of being a human and humanity. As the blurb says, this is a real story, and the reality check is definite when we read this book. Written in easy language, with a beautiful and colourful illustration, Katya's Sunflowers is a tale of brotherhood and solidarity towards fellow humans. In an elegant manner, author Julie takes us into the war times between Ukraine and Russia, which is relevant even now, and to Poland, the country which aided and helped the refugees from Ukraine. The characters are warm and lovable.

This is a book of values and humanity, and as the blurb says, the book is for every age reader! Highly recommended!
