The premise was entertaining. The book really needed a better proofreader...

While the idea was good, this book had obvious flaws and plot holes. From a mismatch of inconsistent dates and time line to dreams that are only mentioned once but apparently Angel (Gage) has had them every night Eve has laid with him.

If you have watched movies such as Sin City, then the dictation found within these pages sounds like the audio. A First POV past tense (when it keeps with tense) with a lot of FUCKS to give.

Each notable character could have replaced any of the others. The only ones who didn't sound the same were secondary characters and mostly we see them standing around and horsing around with one-line descriptions.

Eve is a weak MC and undeserving of any of the Severed MC. Her and her friend are narrow sighted and seems to bounce between POVs as if she has multiple personalities, except she's consistent with Fuck (with a two-year-old child, I'm surprised; especially since she's British)

A good content editor would have worked wonders with the short work, improving it greatly. I didn't have to force myself read it, that's a plus. Would I recommend Severed Angel; sure if you liked Sin City type dialogue. It's free, so try it. Just because the ebook wasn't to my liken doesn't mean you won't.

I really enjoyed the first 2 books and was looking forward to the 3rd. I'm a girl who likes a drummer, I know some prefer the lead singer or guitars but I like a manic drummer :) I was in no way disappointed with book 3, I love Leo and really loved the story however one very small criticism is the ending, it ends on a Jax/Kendle POV not sure why but I found this just a little odd. Still loved tho!

"2.5 out of 5 stars. The saying goes 'if you love them, set them free.' Well, Kendal does just that to Jax. The only problem is he didn't want to be set free, and when they see each other four years later it'll take everything Jax has to prove to her that she is everything he wants/needs!"
