It's a great book. Tons of info on 18th cen and early 19th cen fabrics. Nice thick high quality paper, beautifully bound, high quality book. Great images, wonderfully informative first section that introduces and explains the original swatch book as well as fabric terms and practices of the time. The reproduction section of the book is also printed beautifully clear and gives full translation of the 18th cen writing in the back of the book. It is a must for any textile historian's library
