Mike Farrell

Diary format. It was fun and inspiring. Farrell was very enthusiastic about everything, but some of the compliments seemed empty or trite. His "relationship" talk with the rental car was too much even for me who drives a similar car.

I did not realize until reading this book how much of a political activist and globe-trotting badass Mike Farrell is. Wowzers. He certainly has lived a busy and bumpy life; being on M*A*S*H has only been a small slice of it. Having said that, he'll always be BJ to me.

Mike Farrell describes his journeys as an actor and activist in this very readable autobiography. Some political issues...which include Central American wars...are somewhat dated while others, like the anti-capital punishment issue, are not. Those matters are informative. The acting path is described adequately. Recommended for MASH fans.

I like Mike Farrell & respect the activist work he does, particularly in conjunction with Death Penalty Focus. I recently attended a DPF awards dinner in Beverly Hills for which he was the M.C. The book itself, which I received a complimentary copy of at the benefit, is really his cross-country, speaking-tour travel blog translated into book format. Mildly engaging as such.
