Back in the day, so many things came about. Things coming about were towns and cities. This was a big change from when nothing like this had been existent. Technologies were developed and made important inventions that we still us today. The specific word “Mesopotamia” means “the land between the rivers. This was the first place where large societies used technology to organize themselves in an efficient way. There were many factors that came about with the technology and so forth. Materials played a big role on how they did a certain task and what these people used. Clay objects were well known to be made and used within the society. Cities and building were important within this culture. They worked hard as a society to have the culture form. The Art of transportation was the number 3 factor in this book. The book also covers the irrigation and agriculture, the technology of writing and the technology of mathematics and numbers.
This book is very good to understand the different technologies that have arisen over the past many years. To this day in our lives, we use the technologies that came about many years ago. I have never read up on history because that is something I do not enjoy, but the book “The Technology of Mesopotamia” was a very interesting one. This book of history is very accurate and useful for people to understand how the world came about the way technology was back then. I would probably not use this book in elementary school because it has so much history detail. I am thinking I would use this book in a science and social studies classroom for 6th graders. I could use this book with a lesson about how the world came about. Before the students would experiment this, they would need to have an understanding of the past history.
