David Ross Erickson

I had so much fun reading this book. Reminiscent of a cross between Matthew Pearl and HG Wells, this steampunk novel was fast paced, witty, and charming. While a bit predictable at times, I still could not put this book down. I can't wait to get my hands on the next in the series.

An interesting mix of fantasy with lots of historical ideas/concepts that results in an enjoyable and easy to read story. A good mix of good guys vs bad guys and others in different shades of grey. There are just a few too many times where the good guys let the bad ones go for my taste.

Lots of action scenes. David Erickson paints an action packed picture as you read. Ths plot twists and turns leaving you enthralled.

A good book which keeps your interest though the whole thing. Plenty of colorfully and intricately described characters with a lot of action, good and bad. A good read, try it.
