STORY-LINE RISE OF THE FAITHFUL BY D. S. EDWARDS:

The world as we know it, has finally ended. All modern conveniences including, factories, electric components, and vehicles no longer work; the world and America are in chaos. The world's now at war. Dividing the spoils among other nations such as Russia, Britain, and Germany, America's no longer a world power. For the Amish, it is their usual days of work, community, and God. Nothing changed for them except for the gangs who raid the self-sustaining country-side in search of food, supplies, girls, and slaves. Sarah Beiler, typical Amish teen, watched as friend after friend and neighbor after neighbor is killed or taken by the gangs, must decide which side she's on. With her soul in jeopardy, as well as, her place in the Amish community, Sarah must decide if she will fight for good or accept the evil men do.

America and the world at war, on the verge of destruction, must have hero's willing to give their all. Is Sarah one of the few? My apocalyptic/dystopian book review of Rise Of The Faithful follows.

CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, DEVELOPMENT:

Rise Of The Faithful by D. S. Edwards, action packed, full of emotion, violence, and tragedy, grabs the reader's attention. Edwards did not create a pretty world, rather, one as realistic as possible given the fact, life as we know it, ended. Showing the evil men do when all structure and order's removed, life's hard, dangerous, and in some cases short. With food supplies and available resources depleted, man resorts to the ultimate horror.

Rise Of The Faithful shows the determination and resourcefulness of the human race. Not all resort to evil, many maintain their faith in God and Country. Sarah must reconcile her Amish faith and upbringing to a world she never expected to live in; the world of the Englishman. Seen from many view points, the reader gets a cross-section of life in this new world.

In concluding my review of Rise Of The Faithful, I found a solid story filled with tragedy, violence, and conflict, as well as, love, determination, and faith. Perfect for anyone who enjoys apocalyptic or dystopian books, I would not hesitate to buy this book for a friend.
RISE OF THE FAITHFUL RECOMMENDATION: STARS 4

FINALLY, PLEASE NOTE:

Additionally, I received a copy of the book from the author. I chose to voluntarily review the book with an honest apocalyptic/dystopian book review. Lastly, book reviews of any novel are dependent on the book review author’s opinion. Consequently, all book reviews on-line and on my blog, are my opinions. No one influenced my voluntary book review.

Would I recommend this book? By all means, I loved every moment spent reading it! That said, this was a horrible story, because it could happen. It was filled with character to love, and just as many to absolutely hate. This book really makes you think about what atrocities man is capable of. every American should read this book!
