The origins of bees, swarming, comb building. A difficult read as the pages are dark brown and the text small and dense. This is 9th edition, so it was popular in the years up to WW1.
First published in 1908, this is 19th edition. History of the bee since ancient times, in 17 chapters such as The Commonwealth of the Hive, A Romance of Anatomy, The Comb-Builders. Small print, no pictures.
Practical advice for beginners, with 36 b&w illustrations. Dated. First published 1923, this is 6th edition.
