This book is about two stupid men - they were not boys, who after repetitive warnings decided to try and walk from Panama to Columbia through the most dangerous jungle in the world. Surprisingly - Not - they were kidnapped after 3 or 4 days and spent 9 months traipsing around "The Darien Gap " with a changing bunch of guerillas. After 9 months of hell they were finally released. While these 2 guys were obviously stupid, the captors appeared even more so, having never made any demands for ransom in this time, and eventually becoming bored of their dull British wit and humour let them go. Even after being let go they couldn't find their way out and had to go back twice to their captors and ask for directions.
If it wasn't true you would hardly believe. Surprisingly it was a damn good read and very enjoyable, one of those stories that never should have been written as 1. they should never have gone into the bush, and the other was having gone in, they should never have gotten out alive.… (plus d'informations)
