I had a chance to listen to the Hindi version of this audio book on Audible. I had a great time listening, visualising and imagining the story. The best part is there are diff voices according to the characters. Perfect narration and engaging writing. Had a wonderful time listening to this book!!!

Another book based on ancient history and mythology, this one doesn't live up to the expectation. So much information about the historical events surrounding Julius Caeser's invasion of the Britain doesn't mask the lack of a decent story. The connections between the Mahabharata and the myth of the druids seem forced. Not satisfied with this one...

This one is the first in a series of god-knows-how-many books and the author has kept the story hanging quite nicely. The verses and the process of unravelling the clues do not hold the reader. The action is quite good. As the author has assured that all the questions & loose-ends of this book will be suitably taken care of in the subsequent ones, there is not much to comment about, as of now.
I expect a much better sequel with more plausible puzzle-solving SOON, before I forget what happened in this book!… (plus d'informations)

The Plot:
Arjun and Maya are young adults and their parents are good friends, and so does they. They enjoyed studying in the school, where the comparatively boring topic of history was made very interesting by their history teacher Mr. Trivedi.

The things, however, are meant to be changed and in on unfortunate incident Mr. Trivedi was murdered within his home! And it turned their world upside down.

Incidentally, Mrs. Pramila Singh (Arjun’s mother), Mr. Virendra Singh (Arjun’s uncle) and Mr. Naresh Upadhyay (Maya’s father) are all good friends and they shared same relationship with Late Dhanajay Trivedi also! Unfortunately, before years, Maya has lost her mother and Arjun has lost his father! Since then the group was living in a way that they can took care of each other.

The story then moves from Delhi to Panna National Park, the Pandava Falls, the mysterious world of Gandharvas, the Gurukul ran by Sangha,… Well, it will be more interesting if you read it yourself rather we talk about it here .

Views and Reviews:
The prologue doesn't fit in the story anywhere, but it may have a relevance to the story that will be explored in the other books in this series.

The book proves to be a good overall. Since you start exploring the tale of Arjun and Maya. The mythology is weaved pretty nicely in a fictional tale. There are various incidents and sequences in the book, which will remind you of Harry Potter stories.

For any book, to become an interesting read, the story and the characters are the deciding factors. We found that both these attributes are quite strong here. The way the characters are build is really nice. Be it the friendship between Arjun and Maya or even their parents, it is explored in convincing manner. Rather than talking about feminism and women empowerment, the author infused the characteristics in the characters. And it works effectively.

There is no adult material in the book and it is the saving grace, as we see that even the popular authors tend to add steamy scenes in the books these days.

Though, it is a fantasy fiction, the author tries to make the things look logical.

Here are some of the interesting pieces of writing from the book:
=======
It is better to serve humanity and fulfill our destinies by remaining unobserved and unknown.
-- --
Don’t forget, predictions are accurate only at the time that they are made. Even they can change over time, depending on the actions of the people involved. That is the law of Karma.
=======
We've bought the Kindle EBook for Rs. 69; and thus it is value for money for us. We will recommend you to look for a good book deal to purchase it :)
