Cute, silly story. Not a whole lot of substance, not a good fit for the school library. Underpants as a topic I can deal with, but little underpants attached to the cover is just inviting insanity. My 6 yo son, who claims he doesn't like to read, loved this book.

The colours are bold and the illustrations made me giggle. I especially love that bear never puts on pants, he just goes about his day in his coloured underwear. Good choice, man.

Friends enjoy the snowy weather and together build a snowman. Then they have fun dressing him....including underwear.

It seems like Super Fly has been saving the world forever. He is just ready to take a long break. But Crazy Cockroach has other plans in mind. Super Fly faces his greatest challenge of defending the world against super evil insects led by none other Crazy Cockroach! He has brainwashed hornets, bees, spiders and other like insects. With the help of Fly Girl and Super Flea, Super Fly is hoping to defeat Crazy once and for all. I would recommend this for any collection looking for humorous stories similar to Fly Guy.

Tired of Shelly Turtle winning the Pickleberry Grand Prix auto-race every year, the other animals plead with Rod to step up and become Hot Rod, a canine racer capable of bringing home the trophy and trumping the turtle. After much tinkering in his workshop, Rod finally creates the perfect vehicle, and it keeps him neck and neck with Shelly throughout the race. Then an oil slick complicates matters, and Rod has to decide whether to come to the aid of his bragging rival...

Billed on the back cover as a "silly story that proves winning isn't everything," Hot Rod Hot Dog is a book that I can see having appeal for young race-car enthusiasts, but that's about all I can say for it. I found the story rather uninteresting, and the artwork garishly unappealing. I'm not the biggest fan of cartoon-style illustrations to begin with, and Doodler just isn't one of those artists who can win me over, despite my preferences. The turning wheel on the cover of the book might add to the entertainment value for some children, but its also felt somewhat gimmicky. Overall, I was not that impressed with this one.

This book is an excellent read for younger students. It involves soccer-playing animals and focuses on the bear on the team. He has a pair of white underwear that he wears to every game because they are his lucky underwear. One day, he washes them and they turn pink. He is nervous to wear them, but does it anyway because they are special to him and he believes they make him lucky. When the other team sees his pink underwear, they all make fun of him because boys aren't supposed to wear pink. In the end, his team wins and the other team starts to think that pink might not be so bad after all. The lesson of overcoming differences and persevering is extremely prevalent in this book, but not in a way that makes it hard to read. It is very subtle so young readers, especially boys, who might think that they are weird for liking a certain color. The illustrations and bright colors are excellent for young readers because they are extremely fun and engaging. The bright reds, blues, pinks, and greens help to draw the readers eye in. Also, the use of fun text features, like speech bubbles and fun words like "zigged" and "zagged" will absolutely help to hold the attention of a young reader.

Summary:
This children's book, "Peas on Earth", is a cute book that uses a play on words. This book talks about peace and harmony and getting along with others. This book really does help kids understand how you can make a better world by creating "peas on Earth".

Review:
I love how the author used a simple play on words in this children's story. I think by using that play on words, it makes the meaning of the story more kid friendly. Children can relate to the important things being brought up in this book about the people on Earth and how we need to appreciate everyone on it.

This would be a great book to read before a child goes to sleep. It is a cute book about a little bear that goes camping! The meter for this book was fantastic and made it very catchy and song like.

I received a free copy of this book from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. This in no way influenced my review.

This is a book for young preschoolers who are potty training and are beginning to wear big kid underwear. The bear in the book goes on an adventure and finds a bag with many different styles and sizes of underwear. At the end of the story the bear and his friends all find the perfect underwear.
