What makes Indie authors so exciting is that they write from the heart, unbound by the constraints of convention, with no aspect of their imagination reigned in. Books like this one are therefore free to emerge with new, fresh concepts and ideas - an entire world existing high on the rooftops, those who do not fit in or can not survive labotomised, life up top ended at thirty when they are banished to a world below with the grounders...
Mr Dizon has produced a very compelling read which will surely appeal to all fans of sci-fi, dystopian etc etc
The romance between Trip and Lyrica was well handled and was never over the top. The action and plot was well paced. The dialogue was believable and real, without over egging each scene.
This is a book about friendship, loyalty, love and the incredible resolve of the human spirit. But, above all, it is about a whole society's battle to earn the right to determine their own future, echoed and symbolised by our two young lover's own war and fight for self determination.
A refreshingly unique tale which is well worth a read. Give it a go.
